Grand opening

Today is the day, January 1st 2011, tea and crumpets is officially open. What a perfect way to start the new year, an exciting journey has begun for me.

I will share today's process with you.
This is the 'before picture' my blank canvas...

 My wonderful husband helped me so much and even though it took a really long time he was extremely patient and did not complain one bit. Here he is putting up wallpaper :)

The shelves which we made two days ago fitted in perfectly. I made the shelves from wood laying around at my in laws shop, which I sanded and spray painted antique white.

Next I opened up my boxes and started playing with arrangements.

Here are the final arrangements. This first one is my favorite shelf.

 Handmade pillows stashed underneath.

 I'm really pleased with my shop banner. The lamp in the background is super cute, the photo does not do it justice.
